It Pays to Be You...

It Pays to Be You...

Lately, I've noticed a new trend: people these days are getting paid to be themselves! Its amazing to me to see all the people who have had great success by simply telling their story. This is a wave I definitely can catch. This past weekend made me realize that I am where I am in life because of my personality and loyalty. A few years ago I made a promise to myself that I would always be ME no matter who liked or disliked it, because it feels better to live for you!

Recently, I received a paid offer from a large sponsor who took interest in my content, which took me by surprise. I sometimes forget that I really am doing something special with my brand and people are watching. After a day of meditating and weighing my options, I decided not to accept the offer due to my relationship with another brand. Although it probably would've been a great experience, I chose loyalty instead of royalties because it means more to me and I would expect the same loyalty in return. Little did I know, declining that offer would open the door for a bigger blessing to be sent my way.

A friend of mine who is also embarking on their own journey needed my help and because I believe in their dreams and goals the same way I believe in mine, I did not hesitate to help. Even though I was going out of my way and adding more to my plate, I still wanted to help because of the relationship we shared and my spirit of loyalty. After being of as much assistance as I could, they paid me way more than I would've earned working with the other brand. The crazy part is, I wasn't expecting anything in return. Because of my loyalty, I was given very useful knowledge along with monetary compensation that couldn't have come through at a better time. It seems like every time I have the slightest bit of doubt, I receive some form of confirmation to keep me motivated.

Stay true to yourself and your values, always. There is no better time than now to be yourself!

Patience is really a virtue. It might seem like it’s taking forever for you to take off but it’s all about God’s timing. When you are ready to shine bright then it happens and it’s better than you even dreamed. So proud of you!

I 100% agree. Not taking the first thing that is offered to you because of monetary purpose will in turn set you for great success.
