Turning Dreams into Reality

Milan Crump

October of 2017 I sat at my office desk scrolling through Instagram, and I ran across a sponsored post about starting a hair extension business. The post included the start-up costs and the potential income that one could earn within a year ($100,000). At the moment, making $100,000 within a year sounded like a dream come true, so I began to research hair vendors and packaging & labeling companies only to realize that I wasn't passionate about it. I honestly was only doing it for the thought of all the money I could potentially earn. One of the biggest mistakes we make in life is investing our time into something we're not passionate about. So I asked myself, "what are you most passionate about?" The answer was easy: being a lady and the color pink.

Although, I'm not the "idealistic" image of a lady, one who consistantly wears dresses, skirts and heels, I've always carried myself as such: with class and self-respect. I was already referring to myself as "LadynPink," on social media platforms and decided to turn into a brand that would be dedicated to empowering the modern woman. Mentally this has not been an easy process from the self doubt to the fear of others not believing in the vision. However, my fear of regret overcame my fear of failure and I took a leap of faith anyway. Since dedicating myself to the brand and the mission, I have enjoyed every step of the process. From researching, to designing, to conducting my first photoshoot and finalizing my plans; it has all been a great experience.

My goal is to empower women and help them to know and understand that their beauty, talents and abilities are worth so much more than being bottled up by a the world's image of a woman. The most important ingredient is belief in yourself. With that, there is no deed that is too large and no battle too tough for a LADY to conquer.

It's the year of the GIRL BOSS and we're conquering it together!
